At the regional premiere of a James Bond film in Southampton, Progressive Resources proved they were neither 'shaken' nor 'stirred' when they were asked to undertake a last minute mission.
The organisers of the event held a 'pre-premier' Dinner and Casino evening at Southampton Football Club for 450 people, and thought it fitting that a local company should be sourced to provide the entertainment.
In true Casino Royale style, Progressive Resources were asked to provide the Black Jack and Roulette tables, complete with croupier and gambling chips to enable the eager filmgoers to enter into the spirit of the film, whilst raising monies for charity. The casino tables, manned by the Progressive Resources team, raised a staggering £15,000 for the chosen charities; The BBC Daisy Appeal and Wessex Heartbeat.
Furthermore, not content with just dealing the winning hand at the tables, Progressive Resources also supplied an impressive ice sculpture shaped into the now legendary '007' style.
James Coakes, Managing Director of Progressive Resources and self-confessed James Bond fanatic, was eager to help with the event. As James comments:
"Progressive Resources is always delighted to contribute to events such as this. Moreover, as a Bond fan this event had a special interest for me. We had doubled our stocks of casino tables on the lead up to the release of this new Bond film, as everyone has gone casino mad and this casino event was a Royale success."
